Rooftop tents are freight items, not parcels, and that changes how delivery works. Here's what to expect — and the return policy as Top Dog publishes it.

How tents ship
Rooftop tents ship LTL freight. The crates are large — the Hard Top's carton is 87 × 56.3 × 17 in and the Soft Top's is roughly 58 × 50 × 10 in — and they weigh 130 lb or more gross. They will not fit in a car.
Freight cost depends on your address and whether you need a liftgate or a residential delivery, so it's quoted separately rather than baked into the price. Accessories — awnings, solar panels, power stations and coolers — ship parcel and are far simpler.
- Plan for a two-person lift to get the tent from the pallet onto your rack
- Inspect the crate before you sign for it; note any damage on the delivery receipt
- We confirm your rack fitment before shipping — a 130 lb return helps nobody
Returns — 30 days
Top Dog's published policy runs 30 days from purchase. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.
Gift cards are non-returnable. Partial refunds may apply to items with obvious signs of use, items not in original condition or missing parts for reasons not due to an error on Top Dog's side, and anything returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds
Once a return is received and inspected you'll get an email confirming receipt and telling you whether the refund was approved. Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method.
